Overview
Kailash Mansarovar Tour is one of the bestselling travel packages of all time. Some people believe that the tour is highly rated because of its religious importance, but that’s not the case. As per the testimonials from the people who have visited the place in person, Kailash Mansarovar Tour is something surreal; an out of world experience.
The place is beyond the imagination of humankind! With the wilderness, the amusing landscapes, and the divine empowerment of mountains and holy lakes, the Kailash Mansarovar Tour is a conquering trip that rises above any fun and adventure. It’s a battle of your body to cope with the rising elevation while your mind and soul get cleansed with the essence of Mother Nature. So, the journey is a way of self-revelation and self-realization.
Features of Kailash Mansarovar Tour
Kailash Mansarovar Tour takes you right in front of the holy Mt. Kailash that rises high at an elevation of 6675 meters. It allows you to perform “Kora” around the mountains that present you with some stunning natural sceneries and wild mountainous terrain in the backdrop of beautiful Himalayas. Unlike other mountainous countries, the route to Kailash is wild and isolated with Trans Himalayas in Tibet.
The overland drive to Mt. Kailash is full of mountains with views of Buddhist vibes. The prayer flags, monasteries, and people on the way will give you some idea about the Buddhism religion prevalent in the region. Mansarovar Lake is a beautiful lake that lies in the shadows of Mt. Kailash. Many people believe that holy dip into the lake is the ailment to all kinds of ills in the human body.
Did you know?
Mt. Kailash is a source of the longest rivers in Asia! The rivers like Indus, Sutlej, Brahmaputra, and Karnali are originated from this holy mountain.
Religious Myths attached to Kailash and Mansarovar Lake
Let’s talk about Hinduism! For Hindus, Mt. Kailash is the abode place of Lord Shiva. Similarly, Buddhists believe this place to be the home of Buddha Demchok. Kailash is a spiritual seat of power for the Bon followers, and as per Jain religion, Mt. Kailash is the place where their creator Rishabhadeva had attained Nirvana. So, even from spiritual prospects, the place holds a chief value to people from different religions worldwide. Kailash Mansarovar Tour is not just popular for travel enthusiasts around the globe, but the pilgrims.

Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu includes a guided tour around the art, historical and cultural monuments around the Kathmandu city that has been listed under the UNESCO World Heritage Site charts. Today, after breakfast, your tour guide will pick you up for a city tour ahead. The tour starts from Kathmandu Durbar Square, a historical palace that dates back to the 16th century during the Malla reign in Nepal's medieval period. The palace is an enormous complex with a palace, courtyards, and temples. The structure is beautifully crafted with various wood, metal, and stonework. We explore the periphery of the palace and visit a museum inside the palace. After exploring the palace, we head to Swayambhunath stupa, a large stupa placed on a hilltop surrounded by various Buddha statues and monasteries. Next, we drive to Pashupatinath temple, the oldest Hindu temple with many temples and statues that date back to ancient times. At Last, we head to Boudhanath stupa, a huge stupa placed on a three-layered Mandela. We visit all these beautiful heritage sites and end our day with a drive back to your hotel. Tonight, spend your time at a hotel in Kathmandu.
After an early breakfast, your guide will pick you up from the hotel. We catch our ride that will drive us towards the Friendship Bridge on Nepal China border. We drive along a scenic route today full of countryside verdant landscape. We meet our Tibetan team at the border that will escort you for your journey ahead in Tibet. After completing immigration and custom formalities at the border, we jump on our land cruiser to drive us along a scenic landscape to Nyalam. Tonight, spend your time at a guesthouse in Nyalam.
Today, we are already at a higher elevation region and are heading towards even higher regions. Hence, at this point, acclimatization becomes a must. Therefore, we spend our day in Nyalam, exploring the area, and enjoying some stunning Tibetan terrain views. Tonight, spend your time at a guesthouse in Nyalam.
Today, after breakfast, we drive towards New Dongba. We pass various small villages, yak pastures, and yak herders on the way to New Dongda. It’s a comfortable day drive with some mesmerizing views of snow cloud mountains far on the horizon. Tonight, spend your time at a guesthouse in New Dongba.
Today, we drive towards the highest freshwater lake in the world. After breakfast in New Dongba, we continue with our overland drive towards the Mansarovar Lake. It’s probably one of the longest day drives of our entire tour. Mansarovar Lake, at an elevation of 4558 meters, is an emerald-colored freshwater lake that lies in the shadows of the great Mt. Kailash. The lake water is fresh with many fishes and swans in it. There are other lakes called Raksheesa lake near Mansarovar Lake. While Mansarovar lake is considered pious, we consider the lake water of Raksheesa poisonous. There is no scientific proof, but as per mythology, the Raksheesa lake is created by an evil king Ravana. Tonight, we spend our time near Mansarovar Lake.
In the early morning, we wake up and take a dip into the lake. As per mythology, a holy dip into the lake is believed to be an ailment for any illness and an act of liberation. After taking a bath, we get into our ride for Mansarovar Parikrama. Then we head towards Tarchen, a small village that lies just in front of Mt. Kailash. It is also considered to be a base for Kailash parikrama. Today, we will be rewarded with some magical views of Kailash Himal. Tonight, we spend our time at a guesthouse in Tarchen.
In the early morning, after breakfast, we take a short drive to Tarboche, which is the real starting point of the Kailash Parikrama Yatra. We enter the Yamadwar – the gateway to God of death in Tarboche and continue with our parikrama journey. We walk for a few hours enjoying the majestic views of rocky cliffs, waterfall, and blue sky on the way to the village of Dirapuk. At Dirapuk, we are just in front of the north face of Mt. Kailash. Today, we will get the first glimpse of mountains like Gurla Mandala, Ape, Kamet, and many other peaks. Tonight, we spend our time at a guesthouse in Dirapuk.
Get ready for the longest and toughest day of our journey. Leaving Dirapuk, we head towards the village of Jarok Donkhang. From here, we hike up to Shivatal and ascend high to the Dolma Pass. The pass offers some spectacular views of mountains, glaciers, and Tibetan plateaus. We cross the pass and descend steeply towards the bank of Lham chu Khir river. We follow the river and walk towards Khando Sangam La on the eastern side of the Kailash Himal. Finally, we continue our walk until we arrive at the village of Zuthulpuk. Here, we can visit a famous cave with the footprints of Lord Buddha. Tonight, we spend our time at a guesthouse in Zuthulpuk.
In the early morning, we explore caves, temples, and shrines around the Milarepa cave. Then we head down towards Tarchen, where we complete our Kora around the holy Mt. Kailash. After completing the Kora, we jump into our ride that will wait for us at Tarchen. Further, we drive past Mansarovar lake towards Dongba. Tonight, we spend our time at a guesthouse in Dongba.
After breakfast at Dongba, we drive back to Nyalam via the same path that we had taken earlier. Tonight, spend your time at a guesthouse in Nyalam.
Today, after breakfast in Nyalam, we drive towards the Nepal-Tibet border. We fulfill all the immigration requirements and formalities and bid bye to our Tibetan crew at the Nepal Tibet Friendship bridge. Our Nepalese crew will escort you to a vehicle that will drive you back to Nepal's capital city, i.e., Kathmandu. Tonight, spend your time at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Today, fly home from Kathmandu or continue your travel to some other destinations around the globe. We will drop you at the airport three hours before your scheduled flight. We hope you had a great time with us. Have a safe journey home.

Trip of a lifetime- Annapurna Circuit Trek
Heaven Himalaya Team offers a magnificently arranged trekking involvement in Nepal. Ramhari answered instantly to all my messages. They make a solid effort to make your vacation in Nepal an extraordinary one and genuinely went well beyond my desires.
I couldn't remember the name of the guide but my boy, you were more than amazing. I wish you good luck in the days to come.
Everything from pickup to trekking in the mountains was very professional with excellent service.
So, I strongly suggest everyone and will trek with Heaven Himalaya again in the future.
Glorious Experience in EBC Trek
We did an EBC trek with Ram and his team back in April 2019, and it was a glorious experience. Ram is a very knowledgeable, resourceful, and very helpful guide. 2 of us got unwell during the trek, and he was very prompt and took care of us in any way that was available.
We enjoyed our chat and his sense of humor along the trail and at the teahouses. He even got us a special breakfast and pickle salad at Namche Bazaar and always fulfilled the strange request with our dietary needs. EBC trek is amazing. With Ram, it is even more spectacular. Thanks for the amazing trip. Looking forward to island peak climb in the future.
Incredible Scenery and Service
I trekked up to Basecamp with Ram and his Heaven Himalaya team last year and had incredible Scenery and Service. The scenery is just awesome, and Ram took amazing care of everyone in our group. He kept us all entertained and motivated and most importantly, healthy. Can't recommend him highly enough!
Best Experience Ever, Thank You Ram
My wife and I spent our honeymoon in the mountains. We made the Three Passes Trek in the Everest region. I can certainly say that it was the ultimate outdoor experience we have ever had, simply astonishing. I'm also very sure that a great part of enjoying that experience the way we did was thanks to our guide (Ram). He's a highly expert in the mountains and more importantly a great person with a big heart and always a smile to offer.
Everest Base Camp Trek
I did the Everest Base Camp Trek back in Nov’18 and it was an awesome experience. My guide, Ram was fantastic, very knowledgeable, and professional. He was very good in all the preparations that he made and was very attentive to my needs. He was very thorough explaining all parts of the trek and he took good care of me, especially I was exhausted on the last day of the trek, he pushed and helped me out to ensure I made it to EBC. I highly recommend going with Ram if you ever wanted to do any treks in Nepal.
