Overview

Lobuche peak climbing is an ideal pick from a bunch of peak climbing options available in Nepal. It presents an exemplary exposure to a peak climbing adventure in the Khumbu region of Nepal. Rising tall just above the Lobuche village, Lobuche peak is a charm that has attracted a lot of peak climbers and mountaineers. Ascending to the peak isn’t so specialized, however, the high height introduction to the rugged territory and erratic climate conditions up there is a genuine test that makes the climb tough. The path from base camp to the peak offers some eminent perspectives on mountains in the Everest Region. From the top, you will have some uncommonly wonderful views of mountains in the Everest Region that incorporate Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Pumori, and the mightiest of all–Everest. It is the principal highlight that makes Lobuche Peak climbing a remarkable peak climbing involvement within the Everest Region of Nepal.

Some facts about the Lobuche Peak

Lobuche Peak has two summits, i.e. Lobuche East and the West Peak. East Peak that rises tall at an altitude of 6119 meters is a trekking peak, while the West Peak that grows tall at an elevation of 6145 meters is a peak for an expedition journey. A sharp ridge connects the two summits of this peak. The Lobuche east peak that we are talking about, for the peak climbing adventure, was first scaled in 25th April 1984 by two enthusiastic climbers – Laurence Neilson and Ang Gyaljen Sherpa.

The route to Lobuche peak

For Lobuche Peak climbing, we follow a classic trail to Everest Base Camp. First, it starts with a short 35 minutes’ flight to Lukla. From Lukla, we ascend to Phakding and enter the Sagarmatha National Park. Then we pass various other Sherpa villages, forests, and undulating paths up and down to Namche and then to Tengboche. At Tengboche, we visit the popular monastery and move ahead through the pastures of Dingboche and Lobuche to Gorekshep. Next, a little ahead from Gorekshep, we reach Everest Base Camp, the top of the world. A short hike to Kalapattar offers some spectacular views of mountains in the Everest region. After the hike up, we descend to Lobuche and head towards Lobuche Base Camp for the climbing experience. Though the peak lies in Lobuche, one stop on the way to Everest Base Camp, we complete the entire Everest Base Camp Trek before starting our climb from Lobuche Base Camp. It is for acclimatization. The more we acclimatize ourselves, the higher the probability of a successful ascent.

It can be quite tiring but the pristine air, amazing views and therefore the quest of getting to the highest of the world will keep you going. Tonight, spend some time at a guesthouse in Namche.

Today, you're at Namche means you're already at the heights of around 3440 meters. Therefore, we stop and take our time for acclimatization in Namche. Namche Bazaar is a vibrant town within the Khumbu region. It’s the sole gateway to Everest crowded with hotels, lodges, cyber cafes, shops and lots of more. After breakfast within the guesthouse, we hike up to Everest View Hotel. At Tengboche, we visit a popular monastery known as the Tengboche monastery. It is an old Buddhist monastery on the way to Everest. It is not just known for its spiritual significance but its amazing location. One can see the great Mt. Ama Dablam rises just above the monastery. Likewise, the views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Lobuche and many other mountains in the region look magnificent from here. Tonight, we stay at a guesthouse in Tengboche

Also, you can make yourself familiar and used to with some climbing gears like ropes, ice axes, crampons, etc. Tonight, spend your time at a tented camp in Lobuche High Camp.

We start very early in the morning at around 1:00 a.m. We follow the path taken by our climbing leader and climb up the summit of the peak. We take the help of the ropes, ice axes and other gears to climb up the peak. From the summit, we will be rewarded with some spectacular views of towering mountains like Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Pumori, Mt. Everest and other neighboring mountains in the Everest region. After spending some time in the peak and capturing the moments in the camera, we descend to Lobuche High Camp. Tonight, spend your time at a tented camp in Lobuche High Camp.

It’s an extra day just in case we couldn’t accomplish the climb on Day 13. An extra day in any trekking or peak climbing journey is highly recommended.

Leaving Lobuche High Camp, we descend to Lobuche. After joining the main trail to Everest Base Camp, we descend back to Pheriche enjoying some great views of mountains in the region. From Pheriche, we descend through the forests of rhododendron, oak and juniper to the village of Pangboche. In Pangboche, we visit a popular monastery and stop at a guesthouse for overnight stay. We descend via a well-paved path along Jorsale, Monjo and Phakding to Lukla. The lush forests and amazing mountainous terrain will keep us engaged throughout the trek. Tonight, spend your night at a guesthouse in Lukla.

In the morning, we take an early flight to Kathmandu. Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be dropped at your hotel in Kathmandu. You have two options for the day – explore the streets and malls for shopping or visit some places that you want to explore but are not included in trek. Tonight, spend some time at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Today, fly home from Kathmandu or continue your visit to other destinations around the globe. You will be dropped at the airport, three hours before your scheduled flight. We hope you had a great time with us. Thank you, and have a safe journey home.

Trip of a lifetime- Annapurna Circuit Trek

Heaven Himalaya Team offers a magnificently arranged trekking involvement in Nepal. Ramhari answered instantly to all my messages. They make a solid effort to make your vacation in Nepal an extraordinary one and genuinely went well beyond my desires.

I couldn't remember the name of the guide but my boy, you were more than amazing. I wish you good luck in the days to come.

Everything from pickup to trekking in the mountains was very professional with excellent service.

So, I strongly suggest everyone and will trek with Heaven Himalaya again in the future.

Glorious Experience in EBC Trek

We did an EBC trek with Ram and his team back in April 2019, and it was a glorious experience. Ram is a very knowledgeable, resourceful, and very helpful guide. 2 of us got unwell during the trek, and he was very prompt and took care of us in any way that was available.

We enjoyed our chat and his sense of humor along the trail and at the teahouses. He even got us a special breakfast and pickle salad at Namche Bazaar and always fulfilled the strange request with our dietary needs. EBC trek is amazing. With Ram, it is even more spectacular. Thanks for the amazing trip. Looking forward to island peak climb in the future.

Incredible Scenery and Service

I trekked up to Basecamp with Ram and his Heaven Himalaya team last year and had incredible Scenery and Service. The scenery is just awesome, and Ram took amazing care of everyone in our group. He kept us all entertained and motivated and most importantly, healthy. Can't recommend him highly enough!

Best Experience Ever, Thank You Ram

My wife and I spent our honeymoon in the mountains. We made the Three Passes Trek in the Everest region. I can certainly say that it was the ultimate outdoor experience we have ever had, simply astonishing. I'm also very sure that a great part of enjoying that experience the way we did was thanks to our guide (Ram). He's a highly expert in the mountains and more importantly a great person with a big heart and always a smile to offer.

Everest Base Camp Trekking

I did the Everest Base Camp Trek back in Nov’18 and it was an awesome experience. My guide, Ram was fantastic, very knowledgeable, and professional. He was very good in all the preparations that he made and was very attentive to my needs. He was very thorough explaining all parts of the trek and he took good care of me, especially I was exhausted on the last day of the trek, he pushed and helped me out to ensure I made it to EBC. I highly recommend going with Ram if you ever wanted to do any treks in Nepal.
