The city has various shops, cafeterias, cyber café, hotels, lodges, teahouses, grocery shops, etc. The environment in Namche is chaotic in peak season. The travelers, dzopkyos hauled with loads, traders, locals, etc. make Namche’s narrow streets crowded during the peak season.
The trail from Phakding to Namche undulates up and down many times. It can be quite tiring, but the pristine air, amazing views, and the quest to reach the top of the world will keep you going. Tonight, spend your time at a Yeti Mountain Home in Namche.

At an elevation of 3900 meters, the village is at a dramatic location with appealing pictures of mountains in the backdrop.
Enjoying the majestic views of mountains like Mt. Everest, Mt. Amadablam, and Mt. Lhotse, we ascend to the pastures of Dingboche. We pass various fields and summer settlements of yak herders until we open to Dingboche’s vast pasture. Dingboche is also referred to as a summer valley. Snow fully covers the place in winter, but in summer, it looks lovely with grassland and yaks herding in it. Tonight, we stay at a luxury guesthouse in Dingboche.
As we rise to the high elevation region with passaging trekking days, we need to acclimatize to ensure our health and safety. Hence, today, we stay in Dingboche for acclimatization. In the daytime, after breakfast, we hike up to Nagarjuna.
At an elevation of 5100 meters, Nagarjuna is a beautiful viewpoint that lies just above the Dingboche on the edge of Chhukung valley. As we walk towards Nagerjun, the trail gets steep while makes walking difficult. However the spellbinding views of mountains from Nagerjun make the walk worth it. We will relish some fantastic views of Lobuche peak from Nagarjuna, Thamserku, Taboche, Kangtega, Mt Ama Dablam, and many other mountains in the range.
The hike is also an opportunity to get Mt. Makalu’s stunning glance, the fifth highest peak in the world. After some refreshing moments at the top, we drop to Dingboche for the night. Tonight, we stay at a luxury guesthouse in Dingboche.
With passaging time, we are getting closer to the Everest Base Camp. Today, we leave Dingboche and make our way to Lobuche at an elevation of 4910 meters. From Dingboche, we follow the trail that takes us to the wide valley until we reach Dughla. From here, we move ahead to Trekkers Aid Post at Pheriche at an elevation of 4240 meters. In this post, we can see a few western doctors treating the trekkers voluntarily. Further, we walk along the valley, passing some yak pastures on the way before reaching Lobuche. Tonight, we spend our time at a luxury guesthouse in Lobuche.
Finally, the wait is over. We are into one of the most routine days of our entire trekking journey. After breakfast in Gorakshep, we walk towards the Everest Base Camp, the base camp of the world’s highest mountain. It is a moment of pride for anyone. We explore the area and witness the glory of peaks that rise just before us.
Though Mt. Everest hides between Mt. Lhotse and Mt. Nuptse, other mountains’ views are incredible. As we explore the base camp and capture the moment in photos, we return to Gorekshep for an overnight stay. Tonight, we spend our time at a luxury guesthouse in Gorekshep.
It is another most awaited day of our trekking journey. In the early morning, we wake up and hike to Kalapatthar.
Kalapatthar is a popular vantage point near the base camp that offers panoramic views of mountains in the Everest region. Similarly, it is also a popular destination to watch sunrise and sunset amidst Mt. Everest. The place is one of the renowned viewpoints in the Everest region of Nepal.
From Kalapatthar, we catch the golden rays of sun fall over Mt. Everest’s glittering snow, along with other towering peaks in the range. After some quality time at Kalapatthar, we descend to Pheriche. Tonight, spend your time at a luxury guesthouse in Pheriche.
Wrapping up our peak climbing journey, we head back to the village of Namche. Appreciating the mountains’ stunning views in the backdrop, we descend slowly and gradually via the communities like Orsho, Somare, Pangboche, and Tengboche to Namche. Tonight, spend your night at a guesthouse in Namche.
After enjoying some impressive mountains in the Everest region of Nepal from Namche, we start our journey back to Lukla. We descend via the same well-paved path along Jorsale, Monjo, and Phakding to Lukla. The lush forests and amazing mountainous terrain will keep us engaged throughout the trek. Tonight, spend your night at a guesthouse in Lukla.
In the early morning, we take a flight to Kathmandu. Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, at your hotel, you have two options for the day–explore the streets and malls for shopping or visit some places you want to explore but are not included on the trek. Tonight, spend your time at a hotel in Kathmandu.
It’s an extra day in Kathmandu just for contingency. Sometimes, things may not go as swiftly as intended. Sometimes flight delays/cancellations, poor weather, or ill health can cause a barrier to your journey. Hence, a contingency day on the trip will always be helpful. In case you finished the trek on time, you can use this day for resting or shopping in Kathmandu.
Today, fly home from Kathmandu or proceed with your travel to some different goals around the world. We will drop you at the air terminal three hours before your planned flight. We trust you made some incredible memories with us. Thank you, have a safe journey home.
