Gems refer to the mountains, glaciers, icefalls, mountain valleys, Sherpa villages, people, their culture, and many more.
Everest Trekking trip is an enriching trek that takes you through a variety of landscapes in the Khumbu region of Nepal. It begins with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. At Lukla, you are already at a height of 2845 meters. From Lukla, two routes are available for this Everest trek. One route goes clockwise while the other goes anticlockwise. However, both routes are the same in terms of spectacular landscapes, mountain terrain, and mountain views.
Complete Everest Trekking Trip Route
Here, we follow an Everest trekking trail that descends to the Dudhkoshi River and ascends to the village of Phakding. The trail then enters Sagarmatha National Park, which is a magnificent park enriched with a rich ecosystem, biodiversity, and mountainous terrain. Then the Everest trek passes through the villages like Namche Bazaar, Tengboche monastery, and Dingboche to the valley of Chukkung. After that, the Everest trekking route climbs up to the Chukkung Ri and then to Lobuche via Kongma La Pass at 5335 meters. Joining the EBC Trail at Lobuche, we make our way until we reach the Everest Base Camp. After reaching the EBC, we then proceed with a climb to Kalapatthar. From the base camp and Kalapatthar, one can enjoy some stunning views of mountains that include the majestic Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Cho-Oyu, Mt. Thamserku, Mt. Lobuche, and many more.
Continuing with the Everest trekking trip, we take a trail down to Dzongla. We cross Chola Pass at 5420 meters to reach Dragnak. Further, we head towards the amazing valley of Gokyo. We hike up to Gokyo Ri that offers some magnificent views of mountains and emerald-colored Gokyo lakes. The combo of blue sky, white mountains, and turquoise lakes make beautiful scenery. It feels nothing less than a heaven on earth. Finally, we cross Renjo La pass at 5340 meters and head towards Namche via Thame and Lunden to join the main trail of Everest Base Camp. The Everest trek itinerary starts with your arrival in Kathmandu. A representative from our team will wait for you at the arrival terminal of Kathmandu airport. Make sure that you look after a person with your nameplate! The representative will welcome and transfer you to your hotel in Kathmandu. As you check into the hotel, the representative will give you a synopsis of our plans. Tonight, spend your time at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu includes a guided tour around the art historical and cultural monuments around the Kathmandu city that have been listed under the UNESCO World Heritage Site charts. Today, after breakfast, your tour guide will pick you up for a city tour ahead.
The tour starts from the Kathmandu Durbar Square, a historical palace that dates back to the 16th century during the Malla reign in the medieval period of Nepal. There is a vast complex with a palace, courtyards, and temples. The structure is beautifully crafted with various woods, metal, and stonework. We explore the periphery of the palace and visit a museum inside the palace. After exploring the palace, we head to Swayambhunath stupa, a large stupa placed on a hilltop surrounded by various Buddha statues and monasteries.
Next, we drive to Pashupatinath temple, the oldest Hindu temple with many temples and statues that date back to ancient times. At Last, we head to Boudhanath stupa, a huge stupa placed on a three-layered Mandela. We visit all these beautiful heritage sites and end our day with a drive back to your hotel. Tonight, spend your time at a hotel in Kathmandu.
We pick you up in the early morning and escort you to the domestic terminal of Kathmandu airport. Here, we catch a flight that will take us to the Lukla airport in the Khumbu region of Nepal. The region is probably one of the most loved and frequented trekking regions in Nepal. It takes the pride of having the world’s highest mountain in world i.e. Everest.
The flight to Lukla is full of magnificent mountain views. As you land in Phakding, meet our remaining crew in Lukla for your Everest journey ahead. From Lukla, we follow a trail that drops to the Dudhkoshi river and goes up gradually along a well-marked path to Phakding. Tonight, spend your time at a guesthouse in Phakding.
The days are going to get more interesting ahead. As we leave Phakding, we follow a trail that traverses through Sagarmatha National Park. We march ahead through a forested area enriched with various species of floras and faunas. We pass interesting Sherpa villages like Monjo and Jorsale on the way to Namche.
The route from Phakding to Namche undulates up and down many times. It can be quite tiring, but the pristine air, amazing views, and the quest of reaching the top of the world will keep you going. Tonight, spend your time at a guesthouse in Namche.
Today, you are at Namche means you are already at the heights of around 3440 meters. Therefore, the Everest trekking trip stops here for some time and we take our time for acclimatization in Namche. Namche Bazaar is a vibrant town in the Khumbu region. It is the only gateway to Everest crowded with hotels, lodges, cyber cafes, shops, and many more.
After breakfast in the guesthouse, we hike up to the Everest View Hotel. From here, one can get some close-up views of mountains in the Everest region. You will be blessed with some fascinating views of mountains like Mt. Everest, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Cho-Oyu, Mt. Thamserku, Mt. Tawache, and many more. After exploring the place for a while, we return to Namche overnight. On the way, we visit a photo gallery, museum, and a few Sherpa villages. Tonight, we stay at a guesthouse in Namche.
Leaving Namche, we follow a route that climbs up to Tengboche at an elevation of 3860 meters. It’s an easy way up to Tengboche and the route offers some incredible views of Mt. Everest along with other mountains like Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Lobuche, and many other adjacent peaks. At first, we descend to Dudhkoshi valley at Pungi Thanka and slowly ascend to Tengboche.
At Tengboche, we visit a popular monastery known as the Tengboche monastery. It is an old Buddhist monastery on the way to Everest. It is not just known for its spiritual significance, but its amazing location. One can see the great Mt. Ama Dablam rises just above the monastery. Likewise, the views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Lobuche, and many other mountains in the region look magnificent from here. Tonight, we stay at a guesthouse in Tengboche.
Moving ahead from Tengboche, we follow a trail that descends to the Imja river. From the river, we follow a scenic trail full of mountain views and picturesque landscapes to Pangboche village. The village, at an elevation of 3900 meters, is at a dramatic location with appealing views of mountains in the backdrop.
Enjoying the majestic views of mountains like Mt. Everest, Mt. Amadablam, and Mt. Lhotse, we ascend to the pastures of Dingboche. We pass various pastures and summer settlements of yak herders until we open to the vast pasture of Dingboche. We also refer Dingboche to as a summer valley. In winter snow fully covered it but in summer it looks wonderful with grassland and yak herding in it. Tonight, we stay at a guesthouse in Dingboche.
Leaving Dingboche, we head towards Chukkung valley. Chukkung is a small settlement in the Khumbu region around the Island peak that offers some magnificent views of snowcapped mountains in the region. From Chukkung, we climb up to the Chhukung Ri, a beautiful point that offers some amazing views of mountains in the Everest region. From the top of the Ri, we can admire some amazing views of Island peak, Mt. Ama Dablam, Amphu Labsa, and many more. Later, we descend from the Ri to Chhukung valley for the night. Tonight, we stay at a guesthouse in Chhukung valley.
It’s a big day today because we will cross one out of three high passes on this Everest trek. After breakfast, we start our day with a challenging walk along an icy path to cross Kong La pass at 5535 meters. We cross the pass enjoying some classic views of Mt. Nuptse, Nuptse glacier, Pokalde peaks, etc. Crossing the pass, we climb up towards the Khumbu glacier until we arrive at Lobuche to join the trail to the Everest Base Camp. Tonight, we spend our time at a guesthouse in Lobuche.
Finally, the wait is over. We are into one of the most expected days of our entire trekking journey. After breakfast in Gorakshep, we walk towards the Everest Base Camp, the base camp of the world’s highest mountain. It is obviously a moment of pride for anyone. We explore the area and witness the glory of mountains that rise just before us.
Though Mt. Everest hides between Mt. Lhotse and Mt. Nuptse, the views of other mountains are simply incredible. As we explore the base camp and capture the moment in photos, we return to Gorekshep for an overnight stay. Tonight, we spend our time at a guesthouse in Gorekshep.
It is another most awaited day of our trekking journey. In the early morning, we wake up and hike to Kalapatthar. Kalapatthar is one of the renowned viewpoints in the Everest region of Nepal. It is popular for sunrise views and panoramic views of mountains in the Everest region, including the mighty Mt. Everest. From Kalapatthar, we catch the golden rays of sun falling over the glittering snow of Mt. Everest along with other towering peaks in the range. After some quality time at Kalapatthar, we descend to Dzongla. Tonight, spend your time at a guesthouse in Dzongla.
Get set for a tough yet rewarding day of our journey. Today, we start our day early with a three hours walk towards Chola Pass. As we are walking in a high-altitude region, the walking itself is an enormous task here. Even the path is quite terrifying, with dangerous passes and avalanches around. Crossing Chola Pass is one of the challenging parts of the Everest Trekking trip. Sometimes rock may fall from above hence we need to be careful.
As we climb up to the pass, we cross the pass at an elevation of 5420 meters and descend downhill along a slippery path full of rocks to Dragnak. We take around three hours from the pass to reach Dragnak. Tonight, spend your time at a guesthouse in Dragnak.
After an energizing breakfast in Dragnak, we head along a rough trail towards the Gokyo valley. The trail is too challenging and unstable. Gokyo Lake is not so far from Dragnak but walking along the glacier takes time. One needs to be very careful while walking. In around three to four hours, we reach Gokyo valley from where we can enjoy some heavenly beauty of the mountain lakes (Gokyo lakes) in the backdrop of beautiful Himalayas. Tonight, spend your time at a guesthouse in Gokyo.
Today, we wake up early and start our Everest trekking trip with a hike up to Gokyo Ri for amazing views of Gokyo Lakes and mountains. Gokyo Ri is one of the popular viewpoints in the Everest region of Nepal. Gokyo Ri at an elevation of 5360 meters offers some stunning views of mountains like Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cho-Oyu, and many other peaks. The small mountain Gokyo lakes look really fantastic. The blue-colored lakes shine like emeralds in the beautiful snow. Enjoying some magnificent views from the Ri, we descend to Dole for the night. Tonight, spend your time at a guesthouse in Dole.
From Dole, we start early towards the last pass of our Everest trek. With the amazing views of mountains on sight, we walk past the final lake of the valley to climb up to the pass. Upon arrival, we cross the Renjo La pass at 5435 meters and descend to Marlung. The walk up to the pass is quite challenging along a rocky and slippery path. The walk down the trail is easy comparatively. Tonight, spend your time at a guesthouse in Marlung.
From Marlung, we follow a trail that descends to the village of Thame. Further, we walk past various Sherpa villages and forested areas until we reach the vibrant town of Namche. It’s a beautiful day to walk along an easy terrain enjoying the local people, their culture, and lifestyle. Tonight, we will stay at a guesthouse in Namche.
After enjoying some impressive views of mountains in the Everest region of Nepal from Namche, we start our journey back to Lukla. We descend via the same well-paved path along Jorsale, Monjo, and Phakding to Lukla. The lush forests and amazing mountainous terrain will keep us engaged throughout the trek. Tonight, spend your night at a guesthouse in Lukla.
In the morning, we took an early flight to Kathmandu. Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, we will drop you at your hotel in Kathmandu. You have two options for the day–explore the streets and malls for shopping or visit some places that you want to explore but are not included on the trek. Tonight, spend your time at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Today, the Everest tour package with Heaven Himalaya ends. Our team will conduct farewells for being an amazing traveler. You can either fly home from Kathmandu or continue your travel to some other destinations around the globe. We will drop you at the airport three hours before your scheduled flight. Hope you had a great time with us.

Best Days of My Life
I and my colleagues visited Nepal back in the year 2017. I was not an experienced hiker but anyway chose Annapurna Base Camp Trek with a trekking agency in Nepal. It was like a challenge for me to trek to the 4000 m altitude, but Mr. Ram helped us in every way possible. He was there from the start of our trekking journey in Pokhara to our end days in Kathmandu. Ram kept pushing me forward and even waited for me to catch the other team. He guided me from choosing plain food to meditating. Although I was a victim of altitude sickness and couldn't enjoy the trek to the fullest, I am very grateful to have chosen him.
Annapurna Base Camp is a beautiful place in the Himalayas. The Gurung Village, Poonhill, Pokhara every place was just outstanding.
I have now developed a hiking attitude, and I have been training for the EBC trek now. I can't wait to visit the Himalayas again.
Perfectly Organized Upper Mustang Trek
All thanks to Mr. Ram for organizing the Upper Mustang, trekking perfectly from beginning to end. I, along with my bunch of friends, had a delightful experience with the Heaven Himalaya team. For us, it is the best trekking agency in Nepal. The guides and porters were very flexible and took care of everything around us.
I recommend everyone to try these young guys to go hiking in Nepal.
Wonderful Trekking Experience
My wife and I visited Upper Mustang and were lucky to have chosen Heaven Himalaya. We had a wonderful experience trekking in Upper Mustang. As soon as we landed in TIA, we were welcomed by Ram. He was very easy and responsive to work with. He explained all the queries we had and gave a brief description of the tour. As we were watching videos and reading blogs about Upper Mustang, we had a lot of expectations about the place and the trekking agency we were working with. We had a private 18-day tour with a porter. And to be honest, we found everything beyond our expectations. The hills, mountains, monasteries were all amazing, especially Lo Manthang is a great place to visit. Our guide was also equally supportive and friendly. The team made our trek more enjoyable. While writing this, it reminded me of the days we had on the trails. Thank You again for the wonderful experience. Best wishes to Jason and Esha. We will definitely love to return and probably do the Everest base camp Trek this time.
Trip of a lifetime- Annapurna Circuit Trek
Heaven Himalaya Team offers a magnificently arranged trekking involvement in Nepal. Ramhari answered instantly to all my messages. They make a solid effort to make your vacation in Nepal an extraordinary one and genuinely went well beyond my desires.
I couldn't remember the name of the guide but my boy, you were more than amazing. I wish you good luck in the days to come.
Everything from pickup to trekking in the mountains was very professional with excellent service.
So, I strongly suggest everyone and will trek with Heaven Himalaya again in the future.
Glorious Experience in EBC Trek
We did an EBC trek with Ram and his team back in April 2019, and it was a glorious experience. Ram is a very knowledgeable, resourceful, and very helpful guide. 2 of us got unwell during the trek, and he was very prompt and took care of us in any way that was available.
We enjoyed our chat and his sense of humor along the trail and at the teahouses. He even got us a special breakfast and pickle salad at Namche Bazaar and always fulfilled the strange request with our dietary needs. EBC trek is amazing. With Ram, it is even more spectacular. Thanks for the amazing trip. Looking forward to island peak climb in the future.
